While there’s a very strong preference for shades of purple in 2017 among those who select colours of the year, shades of green were a notable second.
As Pantone said about their own selection: “Greenery is nature’s neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world.”
One of our favourite greens right now is a darker, more saturated shade of green that reminds us of Canadian forests.
If you prefer something a little earthier and more grounded, steer more towards the olive tones. Notice how they pair equally well with darker wall colours as they do with light.
When you want your green to pop, follow the lead of Greenery or a bright apple green.
